What are my payment options? LaviniaLingerie.com accepts PayPal, Discover, Mastercard, Visa credit cards, Google Checkout and money orders as payment for purchases. We do not accept personal checks at this time. I can not choose the option for shipping on checkout screen, it’s does not work! For the Checkout process using 'Lavinia Checkout' to function properly, you need to adjust your internet security settings from 'High' to either 'Medium High' or 'Medium'. When the setting is 'High', it disables the support needed for the underlying programming language. Once you reduce the setting, the Checkout processor should work properly. Will sales taxes be added to my order? We are required by law to collect sales or other applicable state taxes for orders shipped to a state in which we have a facility. Lavinia's Lingerie products can be purchased on this web site as well as on Amazon.com (Lavinia Lingerie Storefront). Do you have a catalog? We do not have a print catalog at this time. Our products are available online only. Do you offer any padded no wire bras? Currently Lavinia Lingerie does not offer a traditional bra without an underwire. Our seamless activewear sports bra (8190), wireless sports bra-top (8061) would be the only one that would qualify in this category. Do you sell wholesale to other online retailers? At this time, we do not sell wholesale. We may offer wholesale in future. I wear a size 40dd in a bra. Do you carry anything in this size ? You can view all available bras in size 40DD by going to Bras 40DD/E category on Bras page. Does any of your active wear have inner shelf bra for support? No, unfortunately our activewear tops do not have this feature at this time. We may add it in the future. Could you tell me the Mid-Thigh Legging measurements for the waist and the inseam? Our mid-thigh legging is made with a soft microfiber that gently clings to the body. Given the stretchy nature of the fabric, the inseam of this legging, when it is worn, ranges from 8.5 to 10 inches. The waistband (unworn) measures 22 inches, but it can comfortably stretch (when worn) up to approximately 35.5 inches. However, we recommend that you measure your hips to determine the size. For example, if your hips measure between 38 and 42 inches, you would need the M/L size. You would be a size XS/S if your hips measure between 34 and 38 inches, XL size measurements ranging from 42 to 46 inches. I'm a women's size 6. Would your Mid-thigh Legging fit me? We recommend size XS/S for women size 2 to 6. Lavinia Activewear is made with microfiber, which stretches to your body shape. It's important to select the correct size so that you feel comfortable with the fit and how you look in it. If you select a size that is too small, the fabric will stretch too much and the garment will loose its opacity. If it does not fit, we will gladly exchange the size as long as all tags are attached and the item is unsoiled/unworn. How can I determine what size I am with your activewear line? Our activewear garments are available in either two or three sizes: extra small/small (XS/S), medium/large (M/L) and extra large (XL). In general, the XS/S size is equivalent to a 2-6; the M/L size is equivalent to a 8-12; and the XL is equivalent to a 14-16. It's not unusual for two, size-10 woman to look different. As most women are proportioned differently, we recommend checking your measurements. Making it more difficult, manufacturers do not always define sizes in the same manner. What is the inseam length of your Yoga Shorts in M/L? Our Yoga Shorts are made with a soft microfiber that gently clings to the body. Given the stretchy nature of the fabric, the inseam of this short, when it is worn, ranges from 2 to 3 inches. Does this Spaghetti strap sports bra (8221) have adjustable straps? Yes, but not like a traditional bra with sliding clips. The fabric of the straps stretches to accommodate the shape of your body. These clingy straps should not slip off of your shoulder. What is the waist measurement, when worn, of your Sheer thong (6477) in XL ? The waistband size of our XL string thong stretches up to 42 inches. What is the measurement across the top of your Sheer mesh low-rise brief panty (6813) in XS ? The top band of our XS sheer briefs (without stretching them) measures 24 inches around and can be stretched up to 28 inches. What is the inseam of your micro yoga shorts (8077) and are they see through? Our Micro-Mini Shorts are made with a soft microfiber and given the stretchy nature of the fabric, the "inseam" of the shorts, when it is unworn, is about 1.5 to 2 inches. Please note that these are micro-mini shorts and do not provide a lot of coverage. We also have Stretch-fit Yoga Shorts. They have the same inseam measurement, but go further down the leg and buttocks. Both styles of shorts are opaque. If the incorrect size is worn and the fabric is stretched too far, the shorts may be semi-transparent. I am wondering if it's possible to order a gift certificate with a little gift pouch and have it sent to me so that I can present it as a gift instead of just receiving an email? Our gift certificate by default is delivered in the form of an e-mail, but it can be sent by mail upon request. At checkout, the gift pouch can be added to your order as "gift wrapping" for the gift certificate. In general, Gift Certificates can be applied toward any product purchase within the LaviniaLingerie.com store. Remaining balances are stored and may be applied to future purchases. Yes, our Plunge Padded Bra (6753) has removable pads, and the padding is 3/16 of an inch thick. How can I find out what the true size is?
1. Measure around the chest directly under the breast at a constant height with the cloth measuring tape. Add 5 inches to that measurement. This dimension is your bra/band size (If the bra size works out to an ODD number go up one inch to the next EVEN number.) This should equal the circumference around the chest, directly above the breasts/under the arms. I am planning to make a purchase, however I understand that your return policy is 30 days. These items will be a Christmas gift. Are there any return exceptions for the holidays? For the holiday season (November 1, 2009 — December 20, 2009), we will extend our return policy to 60 days. If you return the items later than 60 days, we will give you store credit that can be used within one year. Is there a bra for full chested women to wear under swimsuits for better support/separation? Most bras would be visible under your swimsuit as bra straps typically widen as the bra band and cup size increase. Swimsuits also tend to be more fitted and the outline of the bra underneath may show through. Depending on your bra size, you could potentially wear a bra with exchangeable clear straps. However, I would rather recommend that you buy a swimsuit manufactured by a lingerie company. Sizing is typically based on your bra size (e.g., 36DD) and panty size. We expect to add swimsuits such as this to our e-store in the near future. In the interim, I would suggest looking for brands such as Freya, Fantasie and Triumph. They manufacture swimwear as well as bras. Before I order anything I need to know what's the next bra cup size after 40DDD? Would it be 40DDDD? The next size after 40DDD or 40F would be 40G and you can view currently available bras in size 40G bras. Does this full cup bra (#6478) run true to size? Yes, this bra run true to size and we have not received any complains regarding sizing. What is the width of the side panel for this plus size bra (#6182)? 3" 3.5" or what? The width of the side panel is from 2.5" to 3.5" depending of the size of bra; size 38D bra, the width of the side panel tapers, ranging from 3 3/4" (point closest to the cup) to 2.5" (closest point to the hook and eye closure). When I send things as gifts they don’t have a receipt with them do they? Usually we have the price listed on the Packing Slip, but if you do not want it to be displayed, let us know and we can leave it blank. Whats the difference between a shelf bra and a balcony bra? The terms shelf bra, balcony bra and balconette bra are different marketing names for the same bra style. The style provides less coverage than demi-cup bras and effectively serves to lift breasts up and create fullness on the top of the breast. Simply put, these terms are just creative ways to describe how the construction of the bra lifts your breast up as if they were uniformly held up or supported by a "shelf" or a "balcony". Bras with wide straps, lining or padding and reinforced side panels would also provide the desired fit. Unfortunately, we do not carry bras in the 30 band size; our smallest band size is 32. Given your measurements, you could potentially wear a 32C bra, but it may require tailoring on the band. Specialty shops often offer this service as well as select tailors. The styles I mentioned above might also work as the banding runs a little tighter than normal. Please note that balcony bras, also known as shelf bras, generally provide less coverage than a demi-cup bra and effectively serve to lift breasts up and create fullness on the top half of the breast. If you are a full DD, meaning your breasts are as round (full) on top as they are on the bottom half - not sloped (more shallow on top, full on bottom) - than the added boost a balcony bra creates may cause you to pop over the cup. If you fall into this category (full DD), I would recommend going up a cup size for this bra style. If you are more shallow on top, your existing size should be fine. Does this balcony bra (6160) run true to size? Yes and no. Let me explain. The best fit (size) for this bra is somewhat dependent on your breast shape as balcony bras generally provide less coverage than demi-cup bras and effectively serve to lift breasts up to create fullness on the top half of the breast. For example, if you are a full 38C, meaning your breasts are naturally as round (full) on top as they are on the bottom half - not sloped (sagging on top, fuller on bottom) - than the added boost this bra creates may cause you to pop over the cup. If you fall into this category (full 38C), we recommend going up a cup size for this bra style (i.e., a 38D in this example). If your breasts sag, as breasts can commonly lose firmness and elasticity with age and life experience (e.g., pregnancy, breast feeding, weight loss, menopause...), your existing size should be fine.
